The sometimes off-the-wall words and phrases I often exclaim to guests and staff in my restaurants have come to be known as "Michaelisms." We compiled a comprehensive list of them while working on Welcome to Michael's, and designer Joel Avirom turned them into great-looking endpapers for the book.
